演講摘要 Abstract:
The lecture will consider how literary study as a discipline has evolved over the past century through a struggle against universalism, and how in our time new perspectives have arisen to reflect the emergence of methods (such as digital humanities) and public issues (such as climate change). For a discipline that has overcome universalist assumptions almost in living memory, could a new universalism be on the horizon?
