Technology and Life: the 10th Deleuze & Guattari Studies in Asia Conference

Introduction:The theme of this conference, "Technology and Life," aligns with the growing international academic focus in recent years on the relationship between technology and the future of humanity. It serves as a platform to explore various subtopics, effectively showcasing the robust interdisciplinary nature of the Deleuze-Guattarian Theory. The subjects presented spanned across film, literature, the Anthropocene, the posthuman era, the techno-scene, AI, and technology. Over the course of two days, the conference featured seven keynote speeches and 18 paper presentation sessions, with a total of 53 scholars presenting (including 20 domestic scholars, 32 international scholars, and one scholar from the regions of China, Hong Kong, and Macau). The sessions were characterized by lively interaction, smooth proceedings, and received widespread positive feedback. Ultimately, the conference not only enhanced academic exchanges across Asia and globally but also successfully fulfilled the institution’s goal of elevating Asian scholarship to the international stage.
